Bull Riding
Cheer on the BRC (Bull Riders Canada) at the beginning of October in Spiritwood! The second-last stop before the finals, the top riders give their best performances to gain points near the end of their run. Held indoors at the Rec Centre, this action-packed event sells out every year, with a Cowboy Cabaret featuring a live band following the bull riding. Tickets avaiable at Rec Centre, Ec Dev Office, Town Office, Thompson Agencies, Martodam Family Retail, $20 per person, 3yr under free.
Rec Centre and Bowling Alley
Spiritwood boasts a $1.6 million curling & bowling facility (2005) as well as our new hockey arena (2011) for year-round activity. With a finished mezzanine for sports enthusiasts’ viewing pleasure or private functions, this beautiful Recreation Centre is the activity hub of our town.
Spiritwood Golf Course and RV Park
A scenic lakeside golf course, Spiritwood Golf Club measures 5,865 yards from the back tees. This is a popular tourist course as it is situated on the historic Carlton Trail in the lakes district of Northwest Saskatchewan near the junction of Highways 3, 24 and 378. With the addition of 26 seasonal sites and five nightly sites, this is the greenest RV park in the province!
Disc Golf
Take a break at the Disc Golf course and toss a round of 6 holes. The course is located throughout the campgrounds north of town.
Farmer's Market
Each Friday from May through October, you will find home baked goods, fresh vegetables, fruit, crafts and various other locally made specialties! Located along Main Street, you cannot miss the bright and beautiful signs. Open 8am -1pm.
Walking Trail
A beautiful story time walking trail taking you around the dike on the south side of town.
Museum
Located north of Spiritwood on Highway 24. Open May to September or upon request. Visit our extensive farmhouse display, artifacts display, agriculture building, schoolroom and church! Free admission — donations accepted.
